Senior Political Scientist and Professor of Policy Analysis, RAND School of Public Policy

Elina Treyger is a senior political scientist at RAND and professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy, working at the intersection of homeland and national security. Her work tackles challenges related to migration and border security, foreign disinformation and propaganda, and emerging technologies such as AI. It also addresses international influence-seeking by Russia and other adversaries. Treyger’s research combines quantitative and qualitative empirical methods with legal and policy analysis. Previously, Treyger was an assistant professor at George Mason University’s Law School, an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, and a law clerk for Judge Danny Boggs on the Sixth Circuit. Treyger received a J.D. and a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University.
