Éder Sousa is an engineer at RAND, and an expert in modeling and simulation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence and machine learning (with emphasis in Natural Language Processing and multi-agent applications). His research interests are diverse and include space science, technology, and acquisition, software development and automation, and the application of data analytics and machine learning algorithms for policy analysis. In addition, as a member of the RAND's Middle Class Pathways Center, Sousa researches the impact of modern technologies and AI in the workforce. Sousa is an aeronautics and astronautics engineer with a Ph.D. in computational plasma physics with applications to space propulsion and nuclear fusion energy from the University of Washington.
