RAND’s experience assessing the effectiveness of educational programs, strategic reforms, and labour policies spans decades. RAND Australia’s research on workforce needs for Australia’s naval shipbuilding industry led the Commonwealth to announce a $62 million commitment to fund a new Naval Shipbuilding College to stimulate training in vocational and higher education specialties needed by the enterprise. RAND has also been involved in reform and equities in education through our work with Learning Creates Australia. RAND also has a proven record of research associated with the well-being of veterans.

RAND Australia has strong capabilities for improving the health, safety, security, prosperity, and resilience of people and communities in Australia. RAND’s research has been applied to improve outcomes in community health, criminal justice, and the environment. RAND also has a long history of health research to improve service delivery and overall system performance. RAND has contributed to the Third Action Plan in relation to family violence in Australia’s indigenous communities and in providing policy and program evaluation advice to the Australian Dental Council.
