This report presents an overview of the U.S. Coast Guard's (USCG's) current and historical role in Antarctica and characterizes how the future might change the USCG's role in the region. Results from this work are potential strategies for the USCG in Antarctica regardless of the future. The insights from this report can be used by USCG leaders as they make decisions needed for further engagement in Antarctica.
