Access to Gender-Affirming Care and Transgender Mental Health: Evidence from Medicaid Coverage

We show that Medicaid coverage of gender-affirming care meaningfully improves the mental health of transgender people. We also provide suggestive evidence that this is driven by increased take-up of gender-affirming care.

Project Labor Agreements and Affordable Housing Production Costs in Los Angeles: Revisiting the Effects of the Proposition HHH Project Labor Agreement Using Cost Data from Completed Projects

This study estimates the effects of a project labor agreement (PLA) on the production costs of publicly funded affordable housing in Los Angeles. The results indicate the PLA added 21 percent to total costs of affected projects.

Do Temporary Workers Experience Additional Employment and Earnings Risk After Workplace Injuries?

We find large and persistent earnings and employment losses after workplace injury for temporary workers over and above losses for direct-hire workers at the same job. Workers' compensation benefits reduce, but do not eliminate, this income loss.

Greater Adoption of Telemedicine Could Reap Benefits for the Canadian Economy of Nearly 6 Billion CAD Annually

Increasing the use of telemedicine in Canada through teleconsultations between patients and their primary care provider could lead to benefits for patients, society and the economy. The economic value of time saved, through fewer hours spent on traveling to appointments and waiting, could be up to 5 billion CAD alone each year.
