Melissa Kay Diliberti is an associate policy researcher at RAND. Her research uses data from RAND's American Educator Panels to monitor national K–12 education trends. Her recent publications focus on a variety of policy-relevant K–12 education topics including educator well-being, civics education, school safety and security, and the politicization of schooling. Prior to joining RAND, she was a researcher at the American Institutes for Research, where she provided analysis support to the National Center for Education Statistics. Diliberti has a Ph.D. in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, an M.P.P. from George Washington University, and a B.A. in political science and international studies from the University of Michigan.
