Brittany Clayton

Operations Researcher; Professor of Policy Analysis, RAND School of Public Policy

Brittany Clayton is an operations researcher at RAND and a professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy. Her professional interests include lifecycle cost estimating and analysis, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis, and acquisition policy research for defense programs. Clayton leverages a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct her research, including collecting and analyzing data, conducting interviews, and performing literature reviews. Clayton joined RAND in 2018 after a decade of civil service with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Clayton holds an M.S. in Operations Research from George Mason University and a B.A. with majors in Mathematics and Spanish from Washington & Jefferson College.
